Zitat
Will you have a way of tracing how many unique users (through IP addresses if not the creation of a user account) will download your game? It doesn't matter how many downloads, per se, but rather how many users will use the game. One user would equal one game unit basically, from our perspective.
If the mp3 content (files) are for use only within the context of playing a game (in other words, a user couldn't just download music files just to listen to music), then the $2,000/2% content distribution model wouldn't really work, as this is for music or audio file downloads only, not for use in games.
So perhaps the question, in order to properly categorize your product is: is this a game, or a music download? If a game, regardless of whether it is free or not to the user (but could bring you advertising revenue), the cost would be $2,500 per title, regardless of downloads, which is cheaper over the long run than $2,000 minimum per year, and 2% royalty on all revenues over $100,000.
