das problem liegt, denk ich, eher nicht bei windows.h sondern bei den headern die dort inkludiert werden. nachdem ja bei der installation fehler auftreten, wär gut möglich dass da was schief geht.

also die include verzeichnisse richtig gesetzt und die alten gelöscht!?

Es geht doch nicht um das updaten, sondern ob du das Platform SDK richtig installiert und eingerichtet hast. D.h. entpacken, in VS alte Include und Lib Verzeichnisse löschen und die neuen eintragen.
