I wonder what types of games can actually be created with this engine. The video-footage only shows stuff which would be interesting for a first person shooter. But what about say a side-scroller with 3D content? Like Giana Sisters Twisted Dreams or New Super Mario Bros? How about pure 2D games? Is there support for graphical user interfaces and to customize the looks of it? How does one add custom behaviours, AI or own game mechanics if there's no programming involved? I'd like to hear more about that. And finally, what's the status of the engine? You're listing a bunch of features, but you're not describing the possibilities of the engine very well at all. It looks very much rushed in order to get your links distributed.

Also, your website seems to be down.

This looks like an ambitious project. However, I'd like to suggest that you use caps lock more sparingly in the future BECAUSE IT MIGHT GIVE THE READER A FALSE IMPRESSION OF YOUR INTENTIONS. In fact I thought this thread to be some kind of parody at first because the feature list was presented in all uppercase. It was only after seeing the videos on YouTube that I realised your project was serious.

Also I found this statement somewhat odd (quoted from glueengine.com):

Zitat

The Engine is able to render massive amount of polygons mantaining the frame rate of 155 FPS because all the calculations are done more on GPU less on CPU

155 FPS? How did you came up with that number? Why not 156? ;)

The engine market is very saturated lately. How are you going to compete with say, Godot?

You're also not doing a very good job at showcasing the features. The website looks pretty bad too, which shows your lack of attention to details. The overall presentation is quite bad, yet you have a Sales Manager. How about some artists? Sorry to be harsh, but there's a ton of stuff going through greenlight, hoping to make a bunch of cash and then support gets dropped.

After I was able to take a look at your website, I realised you're trying to create the engine in a professional manner, and not just as a hobby project. E. g.: you're a team, you should act (and thus communicate and write) like a team. You're right by saying you're working on an engine, but you're not just representing yourself, but you're rather representing your team (-> "We are working on [...]"

In almost any forum related to games and game programming, there are people trying to implement their very own engine in their spare time. If your thread doesn't look professional at all, many people will just assume it to be one of those project presentations, and some will just ignore the engine out of this reason. If others should take you, your thread, and your engine serious, you really should improve the engines presentation. After all, that's also PR/marketing, and you shouldn't be careless about it.
Besides that, there are some spelling errors on your website. Whats a "node based programmin language", for example? Where is "in front of the layout"? And, please, use commas. ("Glue Engine has the easiest editor layout designed especially for developers and regular users that really want to focus on the game mechanics and not dealing with complicated engine design.")

You should use better assets and settings for your screenshots as well. If you don't have people in your team capable of making high quality assets, you could still use free ones, or buy some assets. If your engine is currently not able to e. g. render high quality water, or you're just missing the proper shader, you shouldn't list the super-duper-awesome-water-shader-generation-feature as a "we have dis" feature, but instead as a "we will have dis" feature.

BlueCobold - It's supports FPS, MMO, Racing, MOBA and Custom where you can create your own style, genre.

David Scherfgen - The website now works.

Endgegner - We had benchmarkt our engine with professional performance tools.

Bambi - We will improve our presentation quality very soon. Thank you for your feedback.

der_r - We will make a full recreation of our website before releasing the Stable release.

Sacaldur - Our nod based aplication called Visual Glue Graph inludes all the C++ and C# functions for game development.

If you have any questions please ask them.

Do not forget to vote us on Steam Greenlight.

Thank you very much.

Regarding the "155 fps":
This really makes the entire thing look childish and unprofessional. Are you seriously saying that your engine always runs at 155 fps, regardless of the hardware I use and how complex my scene is? As a developer, you should know that such numbers without any further information are totally meaningless.

I don't think that answered all my questions... And yet again the answer is looks rather rushed and not interested in really "selling" us the engine properly. That really doesn't leave a good impression. If you're looking for votes on Greenlight, I think you should give us a reason to. So far you are driving me in the opposite direction.

BlueCobold,

Regarding the following:

"I wonder what types of games can actually be created with this engine. The video-footage only shows stuff which would be interesting for a first person shooter. It supports other game modes but not in BETA mode as it is right now in the current state. Yes we will have a graphical user interface that can modify de visuals and also you can do it without programming yes, because we have Visual Glue Graph that is a node based system programming. 2D games will be supported in the STABLE release with very easy to use interface and drag and drop features, the 2D physics will be automatically applied or can be modified you can create a game like flappy bird in just minutes. For example, place a few pictures in the scene, select a picture of your choice, open Visual Glue Graph, tell to multiply the image on start compile and thats all :)

David,

155 FPS has been recorder with huge amount of models in the scene with a mid end PC :)
